Career areas of focus include, mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, healthcare, natural resources and international venture creation. Currently an active Angel Investor and oversees family venture capital investments, family natural resource holdings and family office for personal wealth management. Concurrent (now retired) 35-year military reserve career as a US Marine with combat, SpecOps, DoD, Inter-Agency, Military Intelligence, Humanitarian Assistance, Foreign Governments, and Diplomatic experience. Multi-lingual, outdoorsman, skier, pilot, oenophile, writer, dog lover, organic hobby farmer, avidly interested in improving human condition.
Chas E. Thorne
Chas Thorne is a graduate of Tulane University with a BS in Financial Management, and he is currently seeking his accreditation as a Certified Financial Planner through Boston University. Chas has worked as a senior tech advisor for Apple, Inc. and has built a broad background in analyzing investments in emerging technologies. Chas is currently an active participant in Charleston Angel Partners (“CHAPS”), a venture capital ecosystem in Charleston, SC where Chas represents TCP’s investing activity. He has also started and managed businesses in the hospitality sector.
